Founder and Owner/Operator Philip Spitzer launched Armada in 1978 when the first Atlantic City casino opened. The chauffeured services business was nascent in the Philadelphia Market at that time.

Having worked in his family’s Mobil Oil service station business starting in 1963, he added both Hertz Truck and Hertz Car Rental offerings to the family business in 1969. In subsequent years, Philip became a charter bus operator for groups traveling to ski resorts and for fundraising organizations attending Broadway shows and dining in Manhattan.

The National Limousine Association was formed in 1985 and Philip Spitzer was a founding member... as of Fall 2024 he is one of three original founding operators still in operation.

These decades of operating in the ever-expanding market has allowed Armada to provide uneventful service via its many affiliates who trust Armada to provide uneventful service to their own clients.
